Where is the queue longest?
I study how location quality, transport and rationing shape who gets social housing in England. PhD researcher at Henley Business School, University of Reading, and Associate Lecturer.
About
Cities ration what they cannot price.
Social homes are not allocated by price. They are allocated by waiting, need and rules, so the length of a queue says something about both demand and the system that manages it. My thesis asks where those queues are longest, whether that tracks location quality, and what happens when a new station changes the map.
The work combines administrative records, geospatial pipelines and panel econometrics: a Location Quality Index, a 2019–2023 local-authority panel, and difference-in-differences designs for transport expansions.

The Lab
A classroom where the room is the data.
I use this site in seminars: live polls, votes on contested questions, and short discussions that carry on after class. Ask a question, watch the answers form, then argue about why.
